UI/KISS Driver for the Cybiko

The UI/KISS driver is started by UI Messenger or UI Gate application as a thread that runs in the background. The driver sends the TNC commands defined on the TNC Settings Screen and the KISS Parameters screen from UI Messenger or UI Gate to the TNC upon startup. Then it will receive frames from the TNC and converts them to ASCII frames before sending them to the calling application. ASCII frames coming from the application are converted into KISS frames and sent to the TNC by the driver.
